Casino Windsor's Largest Jackpot Ever Won22 April 2003WINDSOR, Ontario – (Press Release) -- A man from La Salle, Ontario hit the largest jackpot in Casino Windsor's history today by winning $1,984,614.50 on a MegaBucks progressive slot machine. Prior to today's win, Casino Windsor's largest jackpot had been $1.8 million awarded to a man from Michigan on April 7, 2002. Most recently, a woman from Ann Arbor went home $1.5 million richer on February 1, 2003 after playing the MegaBucks machines. The largest MegaBucks jackpot in Ontario hit for $5.6 million at Casino Niagara on February 14, 2002. Casino Windsor introduced MegaBucks in June 2001, in synchronization with the MegaBucks slots at Casino Rama and at Casino Niagara. All three commercial casinos are linked to the MegaBucks jackpot that begins at $1 million and continues to climb until a customer at any of the three properties hits the winning payline. A secondary progressive jackpot beginning at $5,000 can also be won. There are 105 dedicated MegaBucks slot machines throughout the province with 45 at Casino Niagara, 24 at Casino Rama and Casino Windsor has 36 dollar- machines. |
