Casino Employee Sentenced for Theft19 June 2002NEW LONDON, Connecticut – As reported by the Associated Press: ``A former money counter at the Mohegan Sun casino was sentenced on Tuesday to 4½ years in prison for stealing $823,000 from the casino. ``Harlan Gahner, 56, of Norwich, also was sentenced to three years probation, but was not ordered to repay any of the money. ``…He was arrested in June 2000, after security staff at Mohegan Sun saw him stuffing $100 bills into his overalls while working in a money counting room…" |
