Casino Cruise Company Looks to Expand

MASSACHUSETTS – As reported by the Boston Herald: "A fast-expanding North Shore gambling boat operator would like to make Quincy its next port of call.

"Horizon's Edge Casino Cruises LLC, which has run a gambling boat out of Lynn and recently launched a second floating casino out of Gloucester, is ``prospecting' for a dock in Quincy.

"…David Zion, the company's chief executive, recently met with state Sen. Michael Morrissey (D-Quincy), who has floated several statewide gaming law reforms.

"…The company is eager to establish a foothold south of Boston to complement its current North Shore base.

"…However, Quincy leaders and property owners may not line up to welcome the ships - 200-footlong cruisers big enough to carry 500 gamblers onto the high seas…"
