Casino Careers Opens Employee Database to Gaming Corporations

11 August 1998

CHERRY HILL, N.J -- Casino Careers Online has opened its 900-resume database to hundreds of gaming corporations throughout the world who are seeking employees.

"About 80 percent of the applicants in our database," said Beth Deighan, president, "are in the gaming industry and have varied and extensive work experience. Consequently, at this time, our database has the equivalent of more than 2,000 profiles. And we're receiving dozens of new applicants daily from both the United States and other countries."

"Our unique job-profile search engine enables a candidate to enter different positions in which he or she has work experience, thus maximizing matches," Deighan continued.

The first casino to access the database a bit ahead of schedule was the Mohegan Sun, a Connecticut casino undergoing a major expansion. The corporation has already run six job profiles and is currently contacting candidates who have matched their search, Deighan said.

Letters have just gone out inviting some 500 casinos to become charter members of Casino Careers Online for a nominal fee ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 a year, based on the number of employees it has. For that fee, a casino has unlimited access to the database for an entire year -- seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

"Based on the thousands of hits we experience each day, we expect many casinos will take up our offer," Deighan said.

Casino Careers Online has added the title of "Internship" and is marketing its database to colleges, universities, technical and culinary schools across the nation to attract graduating students.

All candidates create and post their resume on Casino Careers Online (located at http://www.casinocareers.com).

The web site will also be featuring a page of informative "Career Advancement Tips" in the next week.

"We expect Casino Careers Online to be the No. 1 source for casino recruitment," said Deighan.
