Casino Arizona Undergoes Audit26 August 2003ARIZONA – As reported by the Arizona Republic: "The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, which owns Casino Arizona, placed nine casino upper managers on paid leave Thursday for two to three weeks while outside auditors review casino business operations. "The audit, by PricewaterhouseCoopers, was not triggered by allegations of wrongdoing and the managers, including President and CEO Jon Jenkins, are not under investigation, said tribal spokesman Jacob Moore. "`We can honestly say there are no allegations of missing money involved,' Moore said. "The tribal council, with six of nine new members since December, directed the audit to ensure the community's most lucrative business enterprise is being run most effectively…" |
