Carnegie Cooke Awarded $2.5-Million Agency Contract

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – (Press Release) --Sept. 26, 2000 -- Carnegie Cooke & Company, Inc. (OTC: CGKY) today announced the completion of a contract with the Jockey Club Cachoeira Do Sul in Porto Alegre, Brazil, for the exclusive operation of international simulcast transmission of racing events. The contract is valued at $2.5 million annually.

Mr. Jay Goldberg, chief executive officer, said: "Compounding the more than $10 million in other recent contract awards, this agreement marks another significant milestone in our growth strategy designed to establish a substantial presence in the South American racing markets."

He continued: "Additionally, we expect to be announcing the completion of numerous other contracts shortly and look forward to sharing those announcements with you in the near future."

Carnegie Cooke & Company, Inc., plans to operate gaming interests and holds exclusive agreements for the simulcast transmission of international racing events throughout Brazil and other South American countries.
