Card Sharps Fleece Online Gaming Operator

AUSTRALIA – As reported by The Australian Associated Press: "Miner turned online gaming operator My Casino has been cheated by card sharps.

"The slick operators who have helped the company notch up a $1.1 million first half loss are white collar criminals using other peoples' credit card numbers.

"…The statement said the company was allowing for fraud losses of up to $3.5 million in its half-yearly accounts.

"`We were targeted by a highly professional gang operating out of a number of south-east Asian countries,'' managing director Gordon McIntosh said from his office in Perth.

"…The company has appointed a new authorising agent, Cardstream, and introduced a system where winnings are credited back to the card account…"
