25 November 2000

CALIFORNIA – Nov. 25, 2000 -- As reported by the Monterey County Herald: ``The winning $35 million California SuperLotto Plus ticket drawn Wednesday was purchased at a Monterey mini market by a man who works on Cannery Row.

``He promptly went to Las Vegas, according to Denise Burnside, manager of the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. on Cannery Row, where the winner is employed as an assistant manager and trainer.

```He went to Vegas; he's going to Sacramento Monday,' Burnside said, adding that she could not give out his name without his permission.
The $5 `quick pick' ticket was purchased at Daney's Minimart, 701 Lighthouse Ave.
```He called to check his ticket and told me he won the Lotto,' said owner Anna Musigchai, who has operated the business for six years.

``She described the purchaser as a man in his early 30s who comes in regularly to buy a $5 ticket from her on SuperLotto days..."
