Canadian Bank Note Company Signs Marketing Agreement With Ontario Lottery

5 November 2002

OTTAWA--(Press Release) --Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited (CBN) (TSX:CBK) has signed an exclusive multi-year marketing agreement with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLGC) to market internationally "SuperStar Bingo," the OLGC's proprietary Bingo Gaming and Administration System.

This unique system is capable of linking an unlimited number of bingo halls for simultaneous play. Numbers are generated and transmitted through the system to each location, enabling players to play paper bingo for large, progressive jackpots.

CBN's extensive overseas marketing capabilities were a key factor in the OLGC's decision. "We look forward to working with CBN on this important Canadian-designed gaming project," said Ron D. Barbaro, Chair and CEO of the OLGC. "They bring an established global presence and an excellent network of international contacts to the table - we wish them complete success in selling this system internationally."

"We're pleased to add this system to our suite of lottery offerings," stated Craig Bascombe, President, CBN Lottery Systems. "The value-added by this product is immense - it's an excellent means of enhancing the entertainment value of the game while increasing revenues and funds for associated charities. We're certainly looking forward to introducing this product globally."

SuperStar Bingo is the latest addition to CBN's wide range of turnkey lottery solutions. CBN brings industry-leading technology and security features to its lottery products, providing robust, secure lottery systems to clients in more than nine countries.
