Caesars Bets on Palace at Wembley

LAS VEGAS -- As reported by the UK Telegraph: "Caesars Entertainment, the US casino owner that operates five casinos in Las Vegas, including the Caesars Palace and Flamingo complexes, wants to open the UK's biggest and most lavish gambling resort at the new Wembley stadium in north London.

"It is in talks with Quintain Estates, the developer that owns the 42 acres surrounding the new National Stadium at Wembley. In June, Quintain said that it had won planning permission for a huge 5.3m sq ft development.

"As well as 3,700 new homes, the complex has permission for 160,000 sq ft of leisure facilities and a 420-room, five-star hotel. Quintain also owns the adjacent Wembley Arena..."
