Butte Casino Backers Planning Second Push24 September 2003BUTTE -- As reported by the Associated Press: ``Backers of a proposed $1.8 billion casino and entertainment complex here said they plan to pitch their plan again, even though the 2003 Legislature nixed wide-open gambling for the project. ``'The next time we do this, it has to be done absolutely right, and that takes planning,' said developer Barrett Singer. ``…Singer said he plans to go back to state officials in 2005, seeking approval for the gambling that he says is needed to make the project work…" |
