Busty Dolly Leaflet Comes Under Fire

NEW ZEALAND – As reported by the New Zealand Press Association: ``A busty cartoon pokie machine called Dolly has come under fire for being salacious and inappropriate.

``New Zealand's chartered clubs have launched Dolly in a leaflet promoting safe gambling.

``Dolly tells punters not to get too excited and press all her buttons flat out, because she likes people who treat her gently.

``But the campaign to counter problem gambling has pushed all the wrong buttons with Hamilton East MP Dianne Yates.

```The club may care about problem gamblers, but it certainly has a low opinion of women,' she said.

``…Clubs New Zealand chief executive Roger Parton said that when he first saw the leaflet he realised it was a 'bold statement'. 'Whatever you do, there's always the possibility of offending someone.'

``…Dolly urges club members using her to `pace yourselves'. `Buy me a bit at a time. I like it that way,' she says.

``…Mr Parton said there was no intention of scrapping the leaflet…"
