Builder Picked for Havana Casino

BILOXI, Mississippi – As reported by the Biloxi Sun Herald: "Onnam Entertainment on Wednesday announced that it has selected W.G. Yates & Sons Construction Co. to build the $235 million Havana Casino Resort it plans to put on the tip of the Biloxi Peninsula.

"The casino project has received gaming site and development plan approval from the Mississippi Gaming Commission, but before construction can begin it needs master plan approval from the city of Biloxi and a third approval from the Gaming Commission. Developers will have to show proof of financing to the commission.

"…Joseph Manno, president of the proposed casino, said it will 'make the glory days of old Havana a reality in Biloxi.'…"
