Boyd Urging Employees to Contact Company

8 September 2005

LAS VEGAS – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Boyd Gaming is urging employees affected by Hurricane Katrina to call their employee hotline at 800-491-0711.

The goal is to make sure employees are safe and to provide them with assistance.

The Las Vegas-based company has set up a relief center at Sam's Town Tunica in Mississippi. Rooms are being provided.

Boyd Gaming also reports that its Treasure Chest Casino in Kenner, Louisiana was not significantly damaged as a result of the hurricane.

It's not known when operations at the Treasure Chest will resume, but company officials say employees of the casino will continue to be paid for the next eight weeks.
