Boyd Gaming Completes $86 Million Expansion At Sam's Town Hotel

The 200,000 square-foot expansion includes a multitude of entertainment, dining and lifestyle amenities for visitors to Sam's Town and for the local Las Vegas community including: Sam's Town Live!, an 1,100-seat multi-use event center; Century Theatres Sam's Town, an 18-screen movie theatre complex; The Firelight Buffet, featuring an open-pit rotisserie; a childcare center; an arcade; an ice cream shop; and 43,000 square feet of new gaming space.

The project also included a 1,200-space valet parking garage, allowing for faster service and greater convenience for Sam's Town visitors. Boyd Gaming's Sam's Town expansion project added approximately 350 new jobs.

We accomplished exactly what we set out to build and came in on time and on budget.''

The expansion and casino remodel also marks a change in the look and feel of the entire property. ``Previously, Sam's Town was primarily country-western themed. We have completely redecorated all public areas with a Victorian look and feel, and the result is a brighter, crisper feeling which we like to describe as 'contemporary western,''' Fuscaldo added.
