I'm fine,' Arum told The Associated Press by cell phone. ``The 70-year-old promoter had flown from Las Vegas to Big Bear Airport to attend the opening day of training camp for WBC super welterweight champion Oscar De La Hoya. ``De La Hoya is scheduled to defend his title against Fernando Vargas at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino on Sept. 14. ``...Others on the plane, Arum said, were Scott Voeller, the marketing director at Mandalay Bay; H.C. Rowe, the director of events and entertainment for the resort, and Las Vegas Review-Journal sportswriters Royce Feour and Kevin Iole..." |
