Boss Media Signs Contract With Gala Group23 May 2002SWEDEN – (Press Release) – May 15, 2002-- Boss Media has signed a contract to deliver an Internet casino to Gala Group Ltd, UK's leading bingo and casino company. Boss Media will provide Gala with a high quality casino application that will enable Gala to increase its interactive gaming capabilities. Gala currently operates 166 bingo clubs and 28 casinos in the UK, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar and has over five million members, plus one million who play online at Jamba. "Gala is a leader in the bingo and leisure industry, and this contract is an important step for Boss into this market", says Peter Bertilsson, CEO and president of Boss Media. "As Gala is focused on the UK market, their customers will be able to play in GBP", adds Bertilsson. "The deal with Boss adds another exciting facet to our interactive gaming strategy. In December 2000, the Gala Group acquired Ladbroke casinos, one of UK's largest casino groups. These were re-launched as Gala Casinos in October 2001. In addition, Gala is the largest multi-site machine operator in Europe. Gala is owned by Credit Suisse First Boston Private Equity (CSFB), the company's executive management and a number of other investors. CSFB are the majority shareholders. The Boss Media Group is one of the world's leading suppliers of digitally distributed gaming systems. Potential licensees are offered a customized client-server system, an integrated payment system, and the maintenance and administration services necessary for the successful operation of the licensed system.
