Borgata to Serve Bottled Beer

5 May 2003

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- As reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer: "The same casino that's doing away with plastic buckets for coins - the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa - is ditching plastic cups for bottles of beer.

"The Borgata will be the first casino in Atlantic City to serve bottled beer throughout its property, except in areas where patrons go barefoot, such as poolside and in spas, senior vice president Kevin Sullivan said.

"Since state gaming regulations were streamlined in August, servers can offer gamblers a cocktail or beer instead of just coffee, soda or juice..."
