Borgata Signs Anka to Three-Year Deal

30 April 2003

ATLANTIC CITY -- As reported by the Press of Atlantic City: "Singer Paul Anka has entered into a three-year exclusive contract with the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa only. Anka's show is one of four music act confirmed by the casino.

"Anka's contract extends from Columbus Day weekend this year - Oct. 10 to 12 - through the end of 2005, and includes multiple appearances each year and private dinner parties for high rollers in Philadelphia or New York City.

"...His contract calls for a minimum of eight shows during the life of the deal.

"The singer will perform in the casino's 1,000-seat theater, The Music Box.

"...In a little different twist in the usual casino contract, gamblers who are among the Borgata's better customers will see Anka perform at a private party/dinner for between 50 to 150 people at restaurants in Philadelphia and New York City, Anka said. He will make at least two of these private dinner appearances during his contract.

"...The entertainer said his shows at the Borgata would be different from his recent Atlantic City performances because he would be accompanied by a large orchestra - 50 pieces if necessary. He will have new material for the larger orchestra and a new video that will be shown during his shows..."
