Borgata Ready to Pamper High Rollers

4 July 2003

ATLANTIC CITY – As reported by the Press of Atlantic City: “Even though the spa portion of Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa may not open its doors until July 11, there are plenty of other amenities to draw high rollers besides the 13 restaurants and 11 retail outlets.

“For starters, the two players' lounges, complete with food buffets, open bars, lavish plush and leather furniture and plasma television screens, will please high rollers who like to be pampered.

“The Tesoro Lounge offers the highest-tier players a different experience than other casino players' lounges. Aimed to give players a quiet retreat, the classy, 50-seat room features fresh flowers and warm colors. The music is soft and players are encouraged to find a corner to chill or plug in their laptops. Instead of large portions, finger food like miniature lamb chops and petite filet mignon is served. Little touches like magazine subscriptions and personal drink service make it top-notch.

“…The Amphore Lounge is more accessible and less refined. With a free-standing bar, the atmosphere is a little more upbeat while maintaining its class. It's designed for higher volume and will be used for players looking to grab a meal and get back on the casino floor.

“Aside from the lounges, the number of suites available - more than 400 - also will lure players.

“Once inside, they are greeted by deep soaking bathtubs, showers for two, wireless Internet access, cordless phones, CD players, refrigerators, queen-size beds with 300-thread-count Egyptian cotton bedding, and in some cases, plasma televisions.

“…The self-park garage is designed with a high-speed entrance and exit that doesn't force you to go through a maze to find your car. And the valet parking lot is entirely underground…”
