Borgata Execs Keep Plans Secret25 April 2003ATLANTIC CITY -- As reported by the Press of Atlantic City: "As Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa gets closer to opening, the clamps of secrecy get tighter. "Borgata developer and operator Boyd Gaming would not answer analysts' questions Thursday about the casino's opening date, marketing plans or marketing budget, despite plans to be open this summer. "...Borgata stopped giving construction tours, except to its lenders, in December. "Las Vegas-based Boyd previously disclosed that Borgata will open sometime between June 21 and July 26, when the American Gaming Association holds its annual Hall of Fame ceremony there. "...More than 47,000 people have applied for jobs at Borgata. About 20,000 have received first interviews and 10,000 have received second interviews..." |
