BodogFight Sponsors Fight Card

6 October 2006

CALIFORNIA – (PRESS RELEASE) -- BodogFight, the groundbreaking mixed martial arts (MMA) reality television series and brainchild of digital entertainment mogul Calvin Ayre, will be the official Presenting Sponsor for "Tank vs. Buentello", a 10-bout Strikeforce MMA cage-fighting mega-card that takes place Saturday, October 7, at Fresno, Calif.'s Save Mart Center.

"The Strikeforce event represents yet another strategic push into MMA for BodogFight. With the success of our TV series, future title sponsorship opportunities are being evaluated. Bodog.com's position as an international TV production powerhouse and integral player in this industry is only going to solidify," says Calvin Ayre, Founder of the vast Bodog.com digital entertainment empire that includes BodogMusic, the international music label responsible for BodogFight's phenomenal soundtrack. "With the highly anticipated Strikeforce event and popular BodogFight series, fans and viewers will continue to witness new standards in the production of mixed martial arts competitions. MMA is soon to be an accepted mainstream spectator sport."

The Strikeforce extravaganza will be headlined by a showdown between heavyweight knockout artists David "Tank" Abbott and Paul "The Headhunter" Buentello. Lightweight stars Josh "The Punk" Thomson and Duane "Bang" Ludwig will do battle; heavyweights Wesley "Cabbage" Correira and Ruben "Warpath" Villareal are scheduled to square off.

Bobby Southworth, a veteran of the premiere season of Spike TV's The Ultimate Fighter, will face Anthony "A-Train" Ruiz. Jason "Live Wire" Von Flue, a veteran of the second season of the Spike reality series, will battle undefeated Eric Wray.

The incredibly popular BodogFight series is available in 43 million homes across America on Men's Outdoor and Recreation, DISH Network, Comcast, Cox, Time Warner and online at BodogFight's official web site, BodogFight.com . Elimination battles, behind-the-scenes training, interviews with fighters, a soundtrack featuring Bodog Music artists, and lifestyle segments compose the weekly one-hour Bodog Fight episodes, with the finale leading into the PPV main event taking place later this year, and consisting of three massive super fights and the spectacular USA vs. Russia showdown.
