BoDog.com Releases Updated Odds On NFL Draft.

5 April 2004

UNITED STATES -- (Press Release) -- With the draft just over 3 weeks away, BoDog.com has released the updated list of first round selections by team for this year's NFL Draft.

"The Washington Redskins have made a number of key acquisitions during the off-season, and I am interested to see how they fare at the draft," said Rob Gillespie, President of BoDog.com Sportsbook and Casino. "There certainly seems to be a lot more hype over the draft this year, and Eli Manning could become yet another top pick."

While the Oakland Raiders had a number of miscues last season, the area of Wide Receiver was certainly a glowing disaster. Larry Fitzgerald is the odds on favorite first pick for the Raiders, currently at 8/5 odds. USC Wide Receiver Mike Williams is the long shot for the Raiders at 10/1 odds. The Detroit Lions, who have been in the NFL basement for a few years now, are looking hard at Miami Tight End Kellen Winslow, currently at 8/5 odds. Lions first round long shot is Virginia Tech Tailback Kevin Jones, who is currently at 10/1 odds.

With all the moves the Redskins made, we are left to wonder what positions they still need to fill. Miami Safety Sean Taylor is the odds on favorite for the Skins at even 1/1 odds, with Maryland Defensive Tackle Randy Starks pulling up the rear at 22/1. With the addition of QB Drew Henson, the Cowboys could embark on a memorable season, and a top notch first round pick can certainly help the cause. Kevin Jones, the touted Tailback from Virginia Tech, is the odds on favorite at 8/5. Everybody's favorite on-again-off-again draft eligible Maurice Clarett, is the long shot to land first round for Big D, currently at 15/1 odds.

"Expect a number of teams to start trading up for draft position in the near future," said Gillespie. "The NFL Draft could be just the beginning of yet another wacky, unpredictable NFL season."
