Bodog.com Posts Raiders-Cowboys Odds

29 September 2005

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Raiders. Cowboys. Two of the NFL's most loved – and most hated – teams meet in an early-season contest that highlights Week 4 of the season. Bodog.com lists the winless Raiders as 3.5-point favorites.

"The Cowboys-Raiders game pits two storied franchises against each other. Even if these were the two worst teams in the league, we would want to watch. Both teams have talent, though, and this is going to be an exciting game," says Calvin Ayre, Founder and CEO of Bodog.com. "No matter what happens on the field, you know Raider Nation will have a rude greeting for the visitors from Dallas."

After suffering a disappointing 23-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Randy Moss and the Raiders are sure to come out hard in search of their first win. Despite being 0-3, the Raiders are favored to beat Dallas (2-1), a testament to how well Oakland has played in its first three games of the season.

Also on Sunday, the undefeated Cincinnati Bengals host the Houston Texans (0-2). Will Bengals wideout Chad Johnson dance his way to the end zone and lead Cincinnati to a fourth consecutive win? Bodog.com bookmakers show the Bengals (3-0) as a whopping 10-point favorite.

After securing a victory in the final seconds against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the injury-riddled New England Patriots (2-1) will look to capitalize on their momentum against the visiting San Diego Chargers (1-2). Bookmakers have the Patriots as 6-point favorites.

Which Manning brother will have a higher QB rating by the end of Week 8? Odds show the Indianapolis Colts' Peyton Manning at –250; the New York Giants' Eli Manning is at +170.

Monday Night Football features Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers (0-3), who will be looking for their first win against the host Carolina Panthers. The Panthers (1-2) are 8-point favorites and will seek to rebound from a surprising loss to the Miami Dolphins last week.
