Bodog.com Posts Monday Night Football Odds

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) --Monday night features a grudge match between the unbeaten Indianapolis Colts and the defending champion New England Patriots, and Bodog.com oddsmakers have posted the odds.

The Colts (7-0) opened as 3.5-point favorites as they prepare to face their nemesis in Foxboro, Mass., in prime time.

"Can the Patriots hand the Colts their first loss of the season?" asks Bodog.com Founder and CEO Calvin Ayre. "The Colts are well-rested after a bye and are flying high with confidence and a spotless record, but Peyton Manning has never beaten the Patriots in a big game. This is likely going to be the highlight of Monday Night Football this season."

The Patriots (4-3), coming off a 21-16 win in Buffalo, will have to contend with a tougher, faster and more physical Indianapolis defense than they've seen in the past. Bettors, however, know not to discount the Patriots. Bill Belichick and Tom Brady have knocked the Colts out of playoff contention before and are quite capable of handing them their first loss of the season.

After a bye week, the Colts should be fresh as they prepare to prove they are, indeed, legitimate Super Bowl contenders. On January 16, the visiting Colts were overwhelmed in a 20-3 loss in the AFC divisional playoff round to New England. Now, Manning and running back Edgerrin James seek to avenge that debacle.

Meanwhile, the NFC East continues to feature fierce games that impact the division standings. This week, the injury-plagued Philadelphia Eagles (4-3) take on the Washington Redskins (4-3). The loser will fall into last place in the difficult East.

Injured in body and ego after a 49-21 walloping by the Denver Broncos, the Eagles face an uphill battle on Sunday. Star receiver Terrell Owens is hampered by a sprained ankle and quarterback Donovan McNabb's status is questionable after missing practice on Wednesday because of a bruised rib. The Redskins, likewise, will aim to rebound from the 36-0 pounding they took from the New York Giants in Week 8. Look to Bodog.com to see the odds.
