Board Member Resigns6 December 2004Las Vegas Sun Local pub owner Blake Sartini has resigned from the Station Casinos Inc. board of directors "in order to devote his full time to his other business interests," according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Sartini, a former Station Casinos executive and the brother-in-law of the company's chief executive, Frank Fertitta III, and President Lorenzo Fertitta, has served on the company's board since May 1993. Sartini left Station to form Golden Gaming Inc., a private company that acquired the local PT's pub chain in 2002. Sartini could not be reached for comment. Representatives with Station Casinos also could not be reached for comment to discuss a replacement for Sartini. Sartini's Golden Gaming is in the process of expanding its PT's pubs chain in the Las Vegas Valley as well as developing another pub chain in Northern Nevada. The new locations include upscale pubs called PT's Gold in Las Vegas and Sierra Gold in Northern Nevada. The company also is buying the Golden Gates, Golden Gulch and Mardi Gras casinos in Black Hawk, Colo. In announcing the deals, Sartini had said his company has been exploring investments in Black Hawk for the past few years. Copyright © Las Vegas Sun. Inc. Republished with permission.
