Black Oak Casino celebrates season of giving

18 December 2017

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Black Oak Casino Resort continues the tradition of giving this holiday season with the annual Community Cash Grab and continued participation in the Adopt-a-Family program. As part of their involvement, the Resort donated more than $12,000 to 10 lucky charities and nonprofit organizations. They also gifted 33 families with Christmas presents and gift cards through Amador Tuolumne Community Action Agency (ATCAA).

"Black Oak Casino Resort takes great pride in our place within the community," said Aaron Moss, general manager for Black Oak Casino. "We are always looking for new opportunities to demonstrate our commitment, not only during the holidays, but throughout the year."

In November, Black Oak Casino Resort held its 15th annual Community Cash Grab. The event allowed a representative from the selected non-profits to enter the casino's Cash Cube for 30 seconds, grabbing up to $5,000. To be eligible to enter the cube, organizations had to draft a one-page appeal explaining why they should be selected. Those chosen in this year's promotion included a wide range of local worthy causes.

Most recently, more than 30 Black Oak Casino Resort team members came together to deliver 400 gifts to local families. Items given to families included bikes, scooters, winter clothes, diapers, grocery store gift cards and much more. The gifts collected came directly from the property's team members and from the annual Renegade Classic Toy Run. They were donated as part of ATCAA's Adopt-a-Family program.
