Black Hawk Gaming Retains Carl Thompson Associates

BLACK HAWK, Colo., March 23 (Press Release) - Black Hawk Gaming & Development Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: BHWK) has retained Carl Thompson Associates, one of the nation's leading investor relations firms, to help maximize shareholder value through a national proactive investor relations program over the next 12 months.

Based in Black Hawk, Colorado, Black Hawk Gaming is the largest gaming company operating in Colorado. The company's two casinos, the Gilpin Hotel Casino and The Lodge Casino, contain 1,300 slot machines and 35 table games.

The company recently announced plans to purchase the Gold Dust West Casino in Reno, Nevada, marking its first expansion into a market outside of Colorado.
