Black Hawk, Colorado's April Gaming Results Increased 14.7%20 May 2002HOUSTON, Texas – (Press Release) -- Nevada Gold & Casinos, Inc. (Amex: UWN) announced the Black Hawk gaming market grew 14.7% in April 2002 to $43.9 million compared to $38.2 million in April 2001, as reported by the Colorado Division of Gaming. Black Hawk's casinos generated approximately 74% of gaming revenue in the state in April 2002, compared to 70% in the prior year period. Statewide March gaming revenue reached $59.8 million, an increase of 9.6% from April 2001. President and CEO, H. Thomas Winn, said, "We are very pleased with the continued momentum of the Black Hawk market, particularly as we enter the strongest season of the year." |
