Binion Set to Bring Horseshoe Brand of Gaming to Midwest

Formerly Empress Casino, the Hammond gaming property has been transformed with over $11 million in recent renovations.

"The phasing in of Horseshoe quality began with the internal branding of the restaurants. Both Jack Binion's Steakhouse, the third in a chain, and the Village Square Buffet opened earlier this year to rave reviews from casino patrons and media critics alike.

In addition, both the casino and the pavilion have undergone complete renovations bringing the Horseshoe tradition of a luxurious gaming atmosphere to the Chicago market. The rich tones of terra cotta, cream, and black with wood grains and marble finishes distinguish the decor, and the crystal light fixtures provide the appropriate accent.

Along with the physical property renovations, Horseshoe brings the best odds in gaming. The Celebrity Gala launch of the new Horseshoe Casino Hammond will be held on Friday May 4 for casino VIP's and Chicago area and Northwest Indiana media. The complex will be closed to the general public for the event -- a first in the Chicagoland gaming market. The event will include five entertainment acts throughout the evening, including the internationally acclaimed artist, Denny Dent, and world-renowned Flamenco guitarist, Alex Fox.
