Bingo is on the Money and More

LAS VEGAS, Nevada-- Nov. 28, 2000 -- As reported by the Modesto Bee: "If bingo seems hopelessly, unfashionably low-tech to you, you haven't seen this year's edition of the World Gaming Congress & Expo.

"Hand-held computing devices track dozens of games at a time, and, in some bingo parlors, they have eliminated the need for sheets of paper and daubers. Indian casinos throughout North America have made room for banks of automated bingo machines, many of which are linked to similar devices in other casinos -- and a centralized ball-caller -- and can attract hard-core players intent on winning huge progressive payouts.
