Bingo Company Gala Replaces Ladbrokes as Scottish National sponsor21 February 2001UNITED KINGDOM – Feb. 21, 2001 – As reported by the Racing Post: ``Ayr racecourse today announced that Gala Group Ltd is to sponsor the Scottish Grand National on Saturday April 21. ``The company, which has signed a two-year deal, purchased the race's previous sponsor Ladbroke Casinos on December 21 and this is their first venture into horserace sponsorship. ``Prize money for the contest has been boosted by 43% to £100,000. |
