Bids Submitted for Bulgaria's Lottery

BULGARIA – As reported by the Bulgaria Novinite: "Four bids have been submitted to the Finance Ministry for the contract to manage Bulgaria's state lottery, it emerged Tuesday. Three of them have officially joined the lottery deal, the fourth has been submitted online and it is still to be seen whether this offer will be declassified.

"Three of the offers come from companies in the United States, Greece and Austria. The bidders will be notified in writing whether their offers have passed the preliminary round of the deal and enter the stage of negotiations.

"…Bulgaria's state lottery raked in BGN 2.536 M (US$1.5 million) in 2001 and BGN 4.2 M (US$2.4 million) last year…"
