ST. JOHN'S, Antigua – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Beginning with over 9,000 hopefuls across the nation, Canadian Idol has been narrowed down to 10 finalists competing for a major recording contract and the adoration of millions of fans. With millions of viewers making Canadian Idol the country's most-watched (English-speaking) Canadian series, it's obvious the show's loyal fans remain interested in the coast-to-coast talent search. The first company to accept wagers on the original American Idol, has ventured North by offering odds on who will win the latest installment of Canadian Idol.

A leading offshore gaming company for over 10 years, has created individual odds on which of the 10 finalists will win a major recording contract. Currently, lists Kalan Porter as the favorite to become Canada's next pop idol at 9/5 odds (i.e., win $9 for every $5 bet). Wild Card winner Elena Juatco has been installed as the second most likely to win Canadian Idol at 7/2 odds followed by Theresa Sokyrka at 4/1 odds and fellow Wild Card winner Jason Greeley at 5/1. lists Jacob Hoggard and Shane Wiebe in the middle of the pack at 6/1 and 8/1 odds, respectively, while Kaleb Simmonds (12/1), Joshua Seller (15/1), Brandy Callahan (25/1) and Manoah Hartmann (25/1) are all long shots to win the competition.

"Being the first company to offer odds on American Idol, we were not surprised by the high demand we received from Canadian customers wanting to bet on the latest installment of Canadian Idol," said Simon Noble, CEO of "From his performances in the preliminary rounds and the viewer polls, it looks like Kalan has the inside track to win the recording deal. Although Elena and Jason won the wild card entries into the finals and have displayed the talent to win the competition, history is definitely against them as no wild card has ever won any Idol program." will be offering betting options on Canadian Idol throughout the remainder of the series until the show's finale.
