Betting Agency Told to Pay Extortionists

AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation: "Centre Racing's proprietor Terry Lillis felt he was caught between a rock and a hard place when extortionists threatened to close down his online betting agency if he didn't pay them US $20,000.

"Lillis says he went to Federal police to try and sort out the problem, only to be told that he would be better off paying the extortionists.

"…After employing an American security firm at significant cost. Centre Racing is still not immune from the perils of online extortionists…"
