BetChicago offering trip to Las Vegas22 August 2018(PRESS RELEASE) -- BetChicago is kicking off this season’s football contests with the chance to become a millionaire. Illinois’ newest source for sports news, betting content and fantasy analysis is offering one lucky football fan a trip to Las Vegas and free entry into the Westgate SuperContest. The grand prize includes airfare for two to Las Vegas, hotel accommodations and the $1,500 entry fee to the SuperContest. The Westgate SuperContest is the world’s most famous pro football handicapping contest, drawing contestants from around the world. Once entered in the SuperContest, the BetChicago winner will have a chance to win a million dollars – quite literally. The winner of last season’s SuperContest took home $1.3 million. And you don’t have to be a football expert to come out on top. In 2016, a 32-year-old-barista finished first and took home over $900,000. With a record number of entries expected for this year’s SuperContest, first prize should easily surpass $1 million. BetChicago is offering five free contests this week, which means five chances to qualify for the grand prize. Anyone who goes a perfect 6-for-6 with their picks this week in one of these five Preseason Challenges will have their names entered in a drawing for the grand prize:
The winner of the drawing and a companion will be flown to Las Vegas, where he or she will register for the SuperContest at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. SuperContest rules stipulate that contestants must register in person but may have a proxy enter their picks each week. BetChicago’s grand prize includes the proxy service, courtesy of FootballContest, which is worth $300. The total value of the Vegas package is over $2,600. The winner may choose an alternative cash prize of a lesser value in lieu of the Vegas package. “We are thrilled to be offering such an awesome prize as football fans get excited for the new season,” said Frank Ignatius, President of BetChicago. “Sending one of our readers to Las Vegas and putting up their entry fee for the SuperContest is the perfect way to kick off the football season.”
