BetAmerica unveils fantasy football parlay contest

24 October 2008

FARGO, North Dakota -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- has kicked-off its newest online offering with its own unique "Fantasy Football Parlay Contest" which will run through the end of the regular pro football season.

BetAmerica will give millions of fantasy football fans the chance to hit the web and play in a weekly contest combining the knack for picking a team winner, and the talent of picking team players that will score points.

"There are many fantasy football fans that play in fantasy football leagues throughout the year. However, during the season, some fans might lose interest in league play, that's why we came up with our weekly fantasy football contest" stated Player Representative, Jared Alexander.

BetAmerica's Fantasy Football contest works much like a Las Vegas Parlay card, where you choose the number of games you want to play, the teams you want based on the point-spread, and the players you think will score points. There are no limits to how many entries a player can make, and no limit on the number of winners. With each $10 entry you can win up to $18,000.

According to comScore, a global Internet information provider, a previous eight month media study of online fantasy sports, which spanned from October through May, found that Fantasy Football sites draws twice as many visitors as any other sport. Football fans were clearly the most significant contributors to fantasy sports traffic. In the month of October, over 80 percent of all fantasy visitors, or more than 6.0 plus million people, viewed football content - significantly more than the 3.1 plus million people who visited fantasy baseball content in April.

"Our goal at is to provide new and exciting contests and games for our customers. We're not looking to rewrap the same old product offerings, but rather rethink and redefine the entire experience for the player by offering new and exciting products they won't find anywhere else" states Alexander.
