26 October 2000

FLORENCE, Indiana – (Press Release)-- Oct. 26, 2000 -- Belterra Casino Resort will open its doors to the public on Friday, October 27. The first gaming session is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. (eastern daylight time). As is typical of Indiana casino openings, hours of operation and occupancy levels, particularly during the initial days of operation, are subject to the ongoing supervision and approval of the Indiana Gaming Commission.

John Spina, Vice President and General Manager, said, ``We've waited a long time for this day and we're extremely excited about introducing our extraordinary casino to the public.''

Belterra is Indiana's newest casino and is located in Switzerland County about 45 miles southwest of Cincinnati. The casino resort complex includes a casino that will accommodate up to 2,600 players, a 15-story luxury hotel, six restaurants including a deli (located in the casino), a spa and exercise facility, an 18-hole Tom Fazio designed championship golf course (opening September 2001), and a 1,500-seat state-of-the-art showroom.

The showroom is scheduled to open Thanksgiving weekend with two shows by the country band, Alabama.

The 38,000 square foot casino offers gamblers 1,350 of the newest and most popular slot and video poker machines and 57 table games including craps, blackjack, roulette, Caribbean Stud and Baccarat.
