Bellagio Selects Mikohn to Design and Produce Interior Sign Package

19 August 1998

LAS VEGAS -- Mikohn Gaming Corp. (Nasdaq: MIKN) has been selected to develop a unique and artistic blend of slot signage for the casino interior of the new $1.8 billion Bellagio, being developed by Mirage Resorts (NYSE: MIR) and scheduled to open October 15 on the Las Vegas Strip.

In accordance with the agreement, Mikohn will design and produce more than 280 casino signs and appropriate directional signage. This package will be a unique union of authentic Italian architectural details with modern day technology, resulting in sophisticated signage that blends rather than competes with the interior decor.

"Bellagio has become synonymous with artistic and design excellence, and we regard this contract as a major validation of our industry leadership and state-of-the-art capabilities," Mikohn Chairman and CEO David J. Thompson said. "We are excited by the opportunity to showcase Mikohn's artistry in what is expected to be one of the world's most beautiful and visible venues."

Mikohn designs, develops, manufactures and markets a wide range of proprietary products for the casino and gaming industry worldwide including signs, systems and games. The company pioneered the development of progressive jackpot technology and exciting visual displays for casinos. For additional information, visit website: http://www.Mikohn.com.
