Bears/Buccaneers Match-up and the Colts' Unbeaten Streak Hot Props at SportingbetUSA

23 November 2005

MIAMI, Florida -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- This busy NFL weekend, SportingbetUSA players are watching the Bears in Tampa Bay for one of the hottest holiday match-ups, and speculating on just how long the Colts' unbeaten streak will last.

The Buccaneers have only won four of their seven games by a collective total of 9 points. On the other hand, there's Bears quarterback Kyle Orton's relative inexperience on the road, not to mention the prospect of a fired up Buc's defense.

"So far most of our customers are betting on Chicago for this game," says Tony Delgado of SportingbetUSA.com. "73% are betting on Chicago and 60% on Tampa to cover the over/under which is at 33."

Neither team can afford an injury to their starting quarterbacks and passing the football leaves the men behind center vulnerable to hard hits. There could be money to be made on rushing props with Buccaneers Cadillac Williams and Bears Thomas Jones. Nervous about the possibility of injuries, SportingbetUSA.com odds makers are waiting until Friday to post odds on Williams' rushing yards and Jones' rushing attempts.

Elsewhere in the NFL this holiday weekend, the Colts return from a road trip still unbeaten, fuelling speculation that they may well go 16-0 this season. Pro-handicapper Bob Acton of UltimateCapper.com raised a few eyebrows recently when he predicted that the Colt's might just finish the regular season unbeaten. With games against Jacksonville, San Diego and Seattle still on the slate, by no means is the road for the Colt's going to be an easy one. But anything's possible in the NFL these days.

"I concede there are some scars visible in the Colts defense," said Acton, "But I still think they could do it."

He may well be right – but right now odds makers seem to think it's highly unlikely. SportingbetUSA.com odds as of November 23:

Will the Colts go 16-0 in the 2005-2006 NFL Regular Season?

Yes (+300)

No (-400)
