Barona Casino and VCAT Announce Involvement in California Indian Gaming Summit22 March 2001SAN DIEGO, California –(Press Release) --March 22, 2001 -- Barona Casino and Venture Catalyst Incorporated (Nasdaq: VCAT) are sponsors of the upcoming 3rd Annual California Indian Gaming Summit and Slot Manager Institute. In addition, gaming industry experts from both Barona Casino and VCAT will be featured as panel speakers during important discussions such as ``The Expansion of Gaming in California'' and ``Beyond Tickets: Leveraging Technology on the Slot Floor.'' Sponsored by GEM Communications, the California Indian Gaming Summit will be held in at the Riviera Resort and Racquet Club in Palm Springs, Calif. on March 25-26, with the Slot Manager Institute following on March 27. ``We will have a major presence at this Summit, which is attended by many California Tribes currently in the midst of making major decisions about present and future casino plans,'' said Don Speer, chairman and CEO of VCAT. ``The Barona/VCAT relationship has set the standard for California gaming and we are happy to be sharing critical industry knowledge with others who may be looking for help and advice.''
