Barden Owns Stake in Greektown

MICHIGAN – As reported by the Detroit Free Press: "Don H. Barden now owns 3.8% of Greektown Casino after the state's casino regulating board approved the purchase on Tuesday.

"But Barden's interest is expected to be short-lived. He has a signed agreement with Greektown Casino's majority owners the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians to sell those shares back - netting nearly $5 million in profit. He bought the shares from two minority owners in the casino.

"Barden, one of the nation's wealthiest African-American businessmen, just made a deal with Donald Trump last week to buy his Trump Indiana Inc. casino for $253 million. Barden already owns casinos in Indiana, Nevada, Colorado and Mississippi…"
