Ban on all machines that pay out in cash or prizes in Georgia9 March 2001Earlier this month, the Georgia Senate voted to ban video poker throughout the state. The bill was proposed in order to maintain control over the burgeoning industry that has mushroomed since neighboring South Carolina issued a ban on their machines. In a clear vote of 42-2, senators elected to ban all machines that pay out in cash or prizes except games such as pinball machines. |
