(NYSE: BYI) announced today it has signed contracts with two companies controlled by Madrid-based Codere S.A. for complete casino management, bonusing and coinless solutions at six gaming locations in Panama. After a competitive review of systems technology, Alta Cordillera S.A. and Hipica de Panama S.A. selected a combined Bally Casino Management Systems (CMS(TM)) / Slot Management Systems (SMS(TM)) solution that includes Bally Power Winners(TM) bonusing technology, eTICKET(TM) cashless functionality and interactive touch-screen iVIEW displays for more than 1,400 slot machines. Alta Cordillera S.A. controls Casino Arlequin, Casino Caesar, Casino Colon, Casino Galaxia and Casino Granada, while Hipica de Panama S.A. operates the Hipodromo Presidente Remon racino in Panama City. The Bally CMS / SMS technology to be deployed over the next 12 months is from Bally's MCC(TM) product line that is proving to be a preferred systems solution in Latin America and South America. More than 2,000 machines in Chile already feature technology from the MCC product line. "This Bally solution is already the leading casino management system in Europe, and this Codere contract signing further establishes Bally as the primary systems provider in Latin America," said John Connelly, Bally Vice President International. "This deal also builds on a strong relationship with our valued friends at Codere, which already includes an extensive games and systems partnership in Mexico." "We analyzed a variety of companies and their respective technologies and Bally was the clear choice," said Vicente Di Loreto, COO Codere America. "We look forward to utilizing the accounting, player tracking, bonusing, coinless and iVIEW products to enhance the experience of our players while improving the overall performance of our operations." "We feel our MCC Microsoft(R) Windows(R)-based systems are an ideal solution for Codere and will give its operators throughout Panama a complete multi-site casino management solution," said Marco Herrera, Vice President and Managing Director of the MCC product line based in Nice, France. |
