19 September 2005

LAS VEGAS – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Bally Gaming and Systems, a business unit of Alliance Gaming Corp. (NYSE: AGI), announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Resorts International Entertainment to provide all of Resorts' casino operations in Nevada, New Jersey, Mississippi and Indiana with a complete systems solution.

In accordance with the agreement, new systems installations have begun at the Atlantic City Hilton, Resorts East Chicago (the former Harrah's East Chicago) as well as Resorts Tunica (the former Harrah's Tunica) and Bally's Tunica in Mississippi. Bally Systems already provides casino management solutions at both Resorts Atlantic City and the Las Vegas Hilton. Resorts selected a variety of solutions for each property, including a combination of Bally's slot and casino management systems, Bally Power Bonusing(TM) features and Bally Systems' leading-edge eTICKET(TM) technology for ticketing functions that will provide enhanced flexibility for Resorts to offer cashless and marketing benefits to its players.

"We're pleased to build on our relationship with a company of Resorts' stature as our list of corporate customers grows in scope and scale," said Richard Haddrill, CEO of Alliance Gaming. "This is a strong endorsement for our systems solutions and we're confident that Resorts will be pleased with the operational efficiencies and player benefits that our technology will provide."

"Resorts International Entertainment offers guests a variety of premier gaming and entertainment experiences in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Tunica, and Chicagoland. In these ultra-competitive markets, we needed technologies that would streamline operations and costs, and also provide marketing tools that enable us to gain a competitive advantage," said Nicholas L. Ribis, President and Chief Executive Officer of Resorts International Entertainment.

Recognized as the global gaming systems leader with more than 345,000 machines and 625 casino, bingo, Class II, central determination and lottery locations worldwide -- including more than 140 locations currently running Bally eTICKET(TM) on more than 140,000 slot machines -- the Bally Systems product line offers slot machine cash monitoring, cashless, accounting, security, maintenance, marketing, promotional and bonusing capabilities, enabling operators to accurately analyze performance and accountability while providing an enhanced level of customer service.
