Bally Gaming Reports Contract for MP Intelligent Tables24 January 2006LAS VEGAS – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Bally Gaming and Systems, a business unit of Alliance Gaming Corp. (NYSE: AGI), announced today that its Bally Table Management Systems (TMS) division has signed its largest contract to date, a 257-baccarat table deal with Galaxy Entertainment Group to install Bally's advanced MPBacc(TM) technology in Macau. Already installed at Galaxy's existing Waldo Casino, MPBacc provides a new level of security for the rapidly expanding casino market in Macau. The new order will result in 135 MPBacc intelligent tables at Grand Waldo Casino, 75 at Rio Casino and 47 through an expansion of Galaxy's baccarat table numbers in the near future. Both the Grand Waldo Casino and the Rio Casino are scheduled to open in the first half of this year. Upon complete installation, Bally TMS will have 313 MPBacc units in live operation at Galaxy casinos in Macau. "We wanted to create a true system for our customers -- a complete closed-loop tracking of the game play. "This meant a networked system via our MP server that could report in real time any security events directly to management. Our game logic, system hardware and MP encrypted playing cards all have been designed to provide the highest level in security, functionality and reliability in safeguarding our customers' gaming operations." The Bally TMS division has also been active in other markets and reports that: * Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn., has placed one of the largest chip orders in industry history, agreeing to purchase 1,500,000 Bally MoneyPieces gaming chips in anticipation of installing the MP21(TM) system. Embedded with Bally TMS optical ID for bet recognition, these chips, scheduled for delivery in February 2006, are the most accurate and cost-effective form to wirelessly communicate a player's wagering information; * Wyndham Nassau Resort and Crystal Palace Casino in the Nassau, the Bahamas, has gone live with 30 MP21 tables and MoneyPieces; * Avi Resort & Casino near Laughlin, Nev., has gone live with 19 MP21 tables; * Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif., near Palm Springs has expanded its MP21 table count from 10 to 18; * Sac & Fox Casino in Shawnee, Okla., has gone live with six MP21 tables, giving Bally TMS its first MP21 installation at a Class II gaming location; Recognized as the industry systems leader with more than 345,000 machines and 625 casino, bingo, Class II, central determination and lottery locations worldwide -- including more than 150 locations currently running Bally eTICKET(TM) on more than 152,000 slot machines -- the Bally Systems product line offers slot machine cash monitoring, table management, cashless, accounting, security, maintenance, marketing, promotional and bonusing capabilities, enabling operators to accurately analyze performance and accountability while providing an enhanced level of customer service. |
