Australia's Jupiters Expects Profit Dip17 October 2002BRISBANE, Australia – As reported by the Dow Jones: "Jupiters Ltd. (Australia:JUP.AX) , an Australian casino operator, said Thursday it expects its net profit in the fiscal first half ending Dec. 31 to be down about 10% from a year earlier. "An improvement in gambling machine performance in the quarter through September is `encouraging,' but the rate of recovery is `unlikely to be sufficient to prevent profit after tax...being down approximately 10% relative to the prior corresponding period,' it said…" |
