Australia's Jupiters Bids for Breakwater Island Trust7 October 2002BRISBANE, Australia – As reported by Dow Jones: "Jupiters Ltd. (Australia:JUP.AX) , an Australian casino concern, on Monday launched a recommended takeover bid for the 52.5% of Breakwater Island Trust it doesn't already own. "The trust owns the Jupiters Townsville hotel and casino complex, which is operated and managed by Jupiters Ltd. "…The takeover offer is either 37 cents cash for each unit held or two Jupiters shares for every 31 units held. The latter offer values each unit around 37 cents based on Jupiters' closing share price of A$5.71 (US$3.14) Friday…" |
