Australia's ECORP Gets Slice of Gambling Pie20 February 2002AUSTRALIA – As reported by (Australia )News.com: "ECORP is taking a 50 per cent stake in PBL's Vanuatu-based online casino. "The two Packer-backed companies said in a statement to the Australian Stock Exchange that they would share 50:50 ownership and joint operational control of the CrownGames.com gaming website. "Ecorp would contribute $2.7 million for its share in the cost of launching CrownGames.com. "…Ecorp chief executive Alison Deans said Ecorp was entering a growth area of the internet in partnership with a leading global brand. "…Under the agreement, PBL subsidiary PBL Gaming Technologies would continue to develop software for the gaming industry and licence its technology to the joint venture…" |
