Australian Province Considers New Gaming Laws

VICTORIA, Australia –– As reported by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation: "The Victorian Parliament will next year consider banning smoking and automatic teller machines in gaming venues.

"…As well as bans on smoking and ATMs, [Independent MP, Susan] Davies wants gaming machines to accept coins only and winnings of more than $250 to be paid by cheque.

"The Bill also outlaws player reward and loyalty schemes, which she says encourage people to continue gambling…"
